This essay is talking about pop music and its styles.

I. Introduction:
Popular music and three of the more successful styles.

II. Body
paragraph 1:
A. Reggae, one successful style of music, developed from a kind of Afro-Caribbean music.
1. Reggae's special sound comes from reversing the role of the instruments.
2. Influenced later styles of popular music, including punk and rap.

paragraph 2:
A. Second successful style of popular music is punk, which is a style of rock music.
1. The "punk look" included Spike hairdos, theatrical makeup, ripped clothing, body piercings, and jewelry made from objects. Punks is aggressive, provocative, anti-government, anti-authority, and anti-conformity.
2. Bands' development of puck music.


Body paragraph 3:
A. Rap music, third successful style of popular music, is a type of dance music.
1. Rapper keep the beat going while changing the re cord at first.
2. Soon, they added lyrics, slogans, rhymes and response with audience.
3. Early rap songs were mainly about dancing, partying and romantic adventures of rappers.

III. Conclusion:
Poplar music changes constantly, however, all contribute to the power and excitement of popular music in our time.
